Boom truck rental in Bakersfield and Kern County
Truck-mounted knuckle or telescopic booms for lighter lifts, deliveries and quick sets.
Bakersfield Crane Rental is a free referral service. Tell us about the job and we pass it to independent local crane companies who quote you directly.
A boom truck is a crane mounted on a commercial truck chassis. It can carry the load and lift it, which makes it ideal for delivering and placing material in one trip: roof trusses, block and pallets, small HVAC units, poles, signs, generators and light machinery.
When a boom truck is the right call
- Loads up to roughly 10 to 20 tons close in, much less at reach
- Tight residential streets or yards where a large crane cannot set up
- Short jobs: in and out in a couple of hours
When it is not
Heavy loads at a long radius, very high picks, or anything where the truck cannot get close to the load. A hydraulic mobile crane is then usually cheaper than stretching a boom truck past its chart.
Typical cost: see the pricing guide. Most boom truck jobs are billed hourly with a 2 to 4 hour minimum.
